For a goofy sense of humor that runs in the family. For a patient (very patient) dog and a goofy sense of humor, this is what ensues in the home quite often. She is a hilarious dog and this photo captures her eccentricities (even if this was not her doing)

For warm and beautiful days allow for excursions to the dog park. Sunshine, long walks in the forest, and groups of playing dogs. Could it get any better than this on a midweek evening?

For working from home and taking lunch breaks outside in the sun with Mochi. Nothing cheers me up more than being able to sit in solitude and enjoy the warmth of the sun for a few precious moments before returning to reality

For the company of pets after a few days away from them. Nothing like clingy pets trying to clamor for your attention. I am loving all the cuddles that are afforded to me by all 3 babies

For sunsets that look like a oil painting. I couldn't stop staring at the lake and the horizon for at least an hour. It was just me and the crashing waters against the rocks and it couldn't be any more perfect

For volunteer events that makes your day feel fulfilled. I always have so much fun while I am working away with my friends that I wish it would go on forever. Always a great time and always an awesome experience

For achieving accomplishments that puts the cherry on your day (so to speak). I have worked hard and come a long way, fighting a lot of obstacles along the way and sacrificing a great deal to be where I am today with my flying. I wouldn't trade my entire experience for anything in the world and this is one phase of my life I wouldn't mind a "Groundhog Day" experience

For an amazing friend (and a great co-worker to boot) that does the little things to show that be cares. Little things like thinking of someone and doing things to make them smile does so much more for the giftee than could ever be known. I am happy and grateful I have amazing friends and a wonderful support structure

For more redundancy than an Airbus. I have flight planning tools on both my tablet and my cell phone, the GPS in the plane and a Garmin D2 aviation watch. When it comes down to it, paper and pencil still is the way to go and at the end of the day, I am perfectly fine with how prepared I will be

For the chance to fly solo and knowing that you will 1) find your way back and 2) your instructor has complete confidence in you. It was a busy day at the airport (Girls in Aviation day) and it was a gorgeous day out, so it only means a congested airspace. I was proud of how well I handled myself and the situation at hand and how grateful I was for all the instruction that had prepared me up to this point

For working from home and getting to enjoy the antics of my pets. In this instance it was just amusing to see Kiwi interact with the iPad. Flipping through pages of a book, highlighting words and closing out app. She obviously did not know what she was doing but it captured my attention

For surprise puppy visits at work. Nothing makes a day go by faster or brings people smiles more than baby animals. Something as simple as holding on to sleeping puppies made my day amazing

For looking up and reminding ourselves that we should not take anything for granted. In this instance, it would be electricity. I don't think I would be able to gracefully deal with going back to days prior to the discovery of electricity. The things I always take for granted as I flip the switch in the house

For waking up and enjoying breakfast to this view is an experience in itself. Not everyday do I get to enjoy a 4 course breakfast with strangers while surrounded by Art Deco that is worth more than my house. It's the interaction with these strangers that makes it exciting and interesting while I try not to break anything valuable

For knowing your pup is in great hands when you are not able to be with her this weekend. Something as simple as having someone help with watching your pup over a longer weekend is actually a more arduous process than it should be. But getting photo updates throughout the weekend helps with that peace of mind

For foggy and quiet nights in the neighborhood. While it is quite creepy to be walking the dog and have it be quiet enough to hear your own breathing, it is also comforting to find a slice of peace in the still of the night

For a beautiful day to partake in outside activities (after work). Being stuck indoors all day makes for a better appreciation of sunny evenings to enjoy our surroundings. This was a gorgeous evening to run around the neighborhood and breathe in the fresh air
